Organised by the Department of Computing of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Metaverse Creators of Tomorrow Competition and Training Programme (“programme”) is a local inter-secondary school programme that connects senior secondary students to develop ideas to address real-world problems and recreate a Metaverse space that can demonstrate solutions for the future.
The programme challenges students with their knowledge and ability to apply Metaverse technology and create digital content. The programme is comprised of three stages: Training, Elimination Round Competition and Final Round Competition. The training serves as a bridging programme to elevate students’ STEM skills acquired in secondary education to a tertiary level. Trained students will develop their first solutions in the Metaverse from early-stage technical builds, market exploration and business development. Students who show great potential as future leaders, practitioners and creators of Metaverse and who are able to think beyond and provide novel perspectives would have the chance to get bonus points for admission when applying for our undergraduate programmes and win attractive gift prizes.
