Students who show great potential as future leaders, practitioners and creators of Metaverse and who are able to think beyond and provide novel perspectives would be offered bonus points for admission if they apply for undergraduate programmes offered by the Department of Computing of PolyU. The overall ability of participants will be assessed through ongoing evaluation in the training and elimination round.
Continuous individual assessments will be used to evaluate the individual ability of participants in the training. The score of this part weighted 70% of the total score.
Team-based assessments in the Elimination Round will evaluate participants’ cooperation ability and project management skills. There are two rounds of elimination, each round carries 15% of the total score.
The winners of the Final Round will not get additional scores.
High-scoring participants will have the opportunity to get bonus points for undergraduate admission.
Only participants who achieve a 100% attendance rate can get a full evaluation on their individual abilities. The evaluation scores will affect the arrangement of bonus points for undergraduate admission in the future.
The organiser will contact selected participants in due course, and details of exercising the bonus points for admission will the provided in due course.
To exercise bonus points for admission, the participants must place the undergraduate programmes offered by Department of Computing of PolyU in Band A choice in the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) application.
